Think Taylor Swift is brave for dancing even though, let’s face it, she isn’t a very good dancer?
Say hello to Lexi Daniels.
The 15-year old Ohio resident went viral this week after a video surfaced of her participating with her local studio at the JUMP Dance Convention in Pittsburgh, where students have a chance to work with well-known choreographers.
Daniels was asked to go solo to a remix of Waka Floka Flame’s "No Hands," which was appropriate because the teenager was born with only one arm.
"My friends and I laughed when we heard the words to the song because it was so ironic," Daniels tells People, adding of the “adrenaline rush” she felt while stepping up to perform:
"It’s like my whole world was a dream come true for 50 seconds. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life."
The above video has been viewed on YouTube by nearly 400,000 people, with Daniels’ positive attitude being the only thing more impressive than her dance moves.
"When people say I can’t do something it just gives me more motivation to prove them wrong," she says. "Dance is my passion, and I am not going to give up on something just because of the way I was born."
